Previous Projects

The plan moving forward is that we will cover what the students are working on during their Genius Hour in the Den. But before we do that I want to take a look back at some of what we did this school year. Backpack Carts Each classroom was built a backpack cart. The students needed to replicate a current design. Not Forgotten

This blog has not been forgotten but like anything else time got away from me. Below are some pictures of some of the work we did creating this new space. We have been in for a year and like anything change is a guarantee. Here we have boarded up the exterior windows and put up Peg Board for the tools. (2 Fifth Graders) build a wood box for us to store large scrap wood pieces. We added a Ryobi Miter Saw for cutting angle cuts. To our workstations we mounted 2 hardware sorters that were donated to the school. The workstations coming together. Here is a before picture of the materials wall which is inspired by M5 from Mythbusters. Tools added to each station waiting for students to get hands on. The name goes up. The MakerSpace gets it's name. We decided on the STREAM Den. Th...
